Usage

  • Used to give a reason for something (often paired with 「所以」 = therefore)
  • Common pattern: 「因為 A，所以 B」 (Because A, therefore B)
  • In casual speech, you can also just say 「因為 A」 without 「所以」 if the meaning is clear
